Receiving money on Cash App is as simple as submitting a request or accepting a payment. You just need to link your bank account to the app so you can get your money instantly, or 'withdraw funds'.

How to receive money on Cash App by sending a request

To send a request to receive money:

1. Open the Cash App on your device.
2. To request money from someone, go to the “$” tab with the dollar sign at the bottom center of the screen.
3. Enter an amount, then tap Request in the lower left corner.
4. Choose a person (or multiple people) to request money from, either from a list of suggested people or by manually entering their email, phone number or $cashtag.
5. You can also add a note, if you wish, to remind them of what this is for.
6. Then tap the green Request button in the upper-right corner of the screen.

How to receive money on Cash App by accepting payment

People can also pay you on Cash App without receiving an order from you. If you have already received money from this person before, the payment will be automatically added to your balance.

However, if this is the first time that this person has paid you on Cash App, you will have to accept the payment manually.

To accept payment:

1. Go to the Activity tab by tapping on the clock icon in the lower right corner of the screen.
2. Under the Pending Review tab at the top of the screen, you'll see any requests you've placed that others haven't completed.
3. You may also see pending payments with a green "accept" button next to it.
4. These are payments from users who have not contacted you before. To accept and receive the money they have sent, simply click on Accept.
5. Once you click Accept, a popup on your screen will ask you to confirm that you want to receive payments from this person.
6. Click Confirm at the bottom of the screen, then click Done.

If that person sends you money again in the future, you don't need to confirm the payment or take any action - it will be automatically deposited into your Cash App account.

How to spend money on Cash App

Once you receive a payment the Cash App, you still need to transfer the funds from Cash App to your bank account.
